A Grade 4 Pupil Hangs Himself After He Was Disciplined By Father For Refusing To Do His Chores

Residents of Sirende village in Trans Nzoia County have been left in shock after a grade four pupil ended his life after having a heated argument with his father.

Confirming the incident is the Kiminini OCPD, Joseph Tumbo who said that such an incident has never occurred in the area.

According to Dennis Khisa, the father of the deceased, the 12-year old pupil at Sirende Primary School did the heinous act at a neighbor's coffee plantation after he instructed his kid to perform some simple task which he didn't want.

The two engaged in a heated argument making the father to discipline his child who later dissapeared to the coffee farm.

The boy's sudden dissapearance promted his family members to launch a search only to find him hanging from a tree on the neighbor's farm.

A neighbor who requested her identity to be concealed disclosed that the boy had been making numerous complains about mistreatment from his step-mother following the separation of his biological mother and father.

“The boy has been loggerhead with his father after accusing his stepmother of mistreating him,” the neighbour said.

The body of the deceased was taken to Kitale Hospital mortuary awaiting autopsy as the Kitale Police launch investigation into the matter.
