When it rains it pours, this statement can not be further from the truth especially for Nairobi Residents. After over a month of a dryspell, large part of the City experienced high rainfall that has now caused immeasurable destruction. Along the Junction of Kiambu Road and Northern Bypass, Billboards were brought down.
Though the good news is no casualties have been recorded so far. Densely populated areas within the City have reported of flash floods that has rendered most roads impassable. Especially the informal settlement areas where the road network is in shambles.
Weather forecast had indicated from earlier last week that the city will be experiencing high rainfall. The dryspell in the city had lasted for a longer while than it has previously been lasted.
Residents In the City had accused the high rate of clearing trees within Nairobi roads for expansion of roads and the construction of Nairobi Expressway.
