Father from Hell: Man Throws Baby Into Fire Over Quarrel With Wife

Police in Baringo County are looking for a primary school headteacher who tried to burn his 5 month old baby to death by throwing it into fire. The incident took place in Ngaratuko village.

Frederick Odinga, Baringo North Sub-county Commander gave a report that the accused had allegedly argued with his wife over the real father of the child, who is admitted at Baringo County hospital with severe burns.

The man had banished his wife from their home after she gave birth to the child, and she had sought cover at an external kitchen.

The mother had reported the incident to the assistant chief who did no more than order the father to cater for the child's medical expenses. It took the intervention of Irene Chepkwony, an officer from the children's department who reported the incident to the police. She has also viewed to help get justice for the young soul.
