Sad as chief dies in a nasty road accident along Westlands Redhill Road, Nairobi County.
The September 3 road crash involved a Corolla car and a lorry.
The lorry, which had three passengers on board, was travelling towards Kariobangi from Allsops, and the car, which had two occupants, was heading to Thika.
The Chief, who was the driver of the car, lost his life while being rushed to hospital. His wife survived the crash, Redhill Road traffic police officer Caroline Kennedy told the press.
According to Caroline, the overspeeding car suffered break failure before colliding head-on with the oncoming lorry.
The body of the deceased was however transferred to Nairobi City hospital morgue pending autopsy. 
The motorvehicle wreckages were towed to the opposite side of the road awaiting police inspection.
Ms Caroline said the chief was heading home in accompanied by his wife when the accident happened.
He urged the motorists plying the same route to observe traffic rules and regulations so as to prevent similar cases from happening in the near future.
