The area chief reported that, two a day before this incident, the 12-year-old grade two pupil at Kiminini primary school, ran from her home for fear of being beaten by the mother. The girl was seeking refuge at the chief's camp but the chief handed her over to Kiminini police station.
The girl was later taken from the police station by her mother who later beat her up when they reached home. It is also alleged that the woman was using a cooking stick to punish her daughter. After the beating, the family retired to bed and the following morning, the little girl was discovered dead.
The mother is currently held at the police station as investigations on this case continue.
Do you think the mother could have beaten her daughter to death? Drop your comment.
