The residents of Magenche ward in Kisii county, are up in arms against their Member of parlisment Prof.Zadoc Ogutu and MCA Timothy Ogugu.Yesterday, they accused the two leaders of failure to boost development especially the construction of roads.They cited Geteni- Nyagancha -Magenche roads that are impassable."We elect leaders to represent us but they have now abandoned us,"Said Esther Bonareri,a tea grower.photo:Prof.Zadoc Ogutu.
The residents lamented of their farm produce like tea,bananas avocados and vegetables that have rootten in the farms because they f have no passable roads to take market.They appealed to the two leaders to sit together and forge the best way forward of avoiding dupplication.of services .However they wondered how this could be possible because Ogutu and Ogugu do see other eye to eye:Timothy Ogugu is said to be eyeing the MP's seat come 2022 general ections The residents said that the MP has sensed that, and has wedged war against the MCA by avoiding to listen to him.
It was from here,the residents asked the two leaders to burry their differences and do development.Hiwever,when Opera news asked the MCA if he will oppose the MP in 2022,he said he will listen to the voice of the electorate.Aclosei aide to the MP, revealed that Professor Ogutu will not defend his seat in 2022.
In a closed door meeting at his Kitale home,the MP held a meeting with elders from the constituency and told them to look for a suitable successor.He thanked them for havi g elected him but asked them to Boise asuitable man who will continue to repair the roads where he stopped.
