The covid 19 pandemic has created a lot of social, economic menace which had left the government to differ with the citizens on Implementation of the guidelines and rules set to curb it spread. This has resulted into government imposing the night restrictions on people travelling to avoid the spread. In this case the government uses the police officers to control the night movement. In contrary to the citizens who have opposed to this rules we have observed the police officers executing a lot of force, for instance punitive force just in the below picture a resident in Migori county trying to escape the curfew Yesterday.
The region has been on the total restrictions but the business group complaint about the regional attack by the armed robbers who stole from the residents business people. Just a few case one watchman was killed by the malicious group of robbers and eventually entered into one of the known supermarket and stole items of unknown values. The county commissioner of Migori then assured the residents that the investigation process is underweight as he urged them to continue observing the curfew hour as anyone who will be spotted past 9pm on the street shall have been convicted of two crime; violation of the curfew and the robbery.
The on going Implementation has also been reinforced by area chief at a party limit. For instance in Suna East constituency at God Jope location where chief inform the residents on important of observing the guidelines on the curfew. This was immediately after two school boys of form two were allegedly caught at night by police officer the case is held at police custody waiting to be taken to court by tomorrow 27th 04 2021at Migori law court.
