Homicide cases are on the increase as one or more cases are being reported daily across the country.
Detectives in Kisumu county have started a man haunt for a middle aged man who brutally murdered one and left the other for death.
According to K24 digital news reports, the assailant who has been identified as Stephen Opiyo alias Chopper is alleged to have committed the crime using a kitchen knife.
It is claimed that the incident happened in the wee hours of Sunday morning when some commotion were heard from the rented houses which prompted the landlady go and check out.
The landlady who has been identified as Beatrice Owino reported that on getting to the scene, he found the 15 years old already dead, while the 13 years old Tobias Omondi lying in a pool of blood bleeding profusely.
"That was when she entered the house and found another boy Dickens Odhiambo aged 15 lying dead in a pool of blood." Kisumu county police commander Mr Samuel confirmed.
The assailant is claimed to be a family friend of the two boys who had stayed over with them for some days before the unfortunate happened.
The middle aged man managed to escape after committing the heinous act, but the police are on a manhunt to find him and prosecute him.
