Enziu: River Death Toll in Mwingi Bus Accident Hits 20, Police Say Inhabitants were Choir Members

At least 20 passengers have been verified dead after a machine they were travelling in plunged into River Enziu on the morning of Saturday, December 4.

Mwingi Eastsub-county police commander Joseph Yakan verified the original residers managed to deliver 10 other passengers from the violet swash.

The 51-seater machine belonging to St Joseph Seminary Mwingi was carrying 30 passengers when it submerged into the swamped swash at around 11 am along Nguni-Nuu road. Yakan said the victims who were substantially the Mwingi Catholic Church chorus were heading to a marriage in Nuu area.

In a viral videotape of the woeful incident seen, the motorist steered the machine into the swash in a shot to cross over the other side but the swash turbulence pushed it down before it completely submerged.

TUKO gathered that this was after an late rain washed down Dr Malombe ground which connects Nuu ward in Mwingi to other corridor of Kituicounty.

A viewer claimed the machine motorist had been advised not to cross the swash.

The incident happened one day after a analogous bone was reported in the near Machakos county in which a automobilist escaped death by a whisker. The motorist had tried to cross over the swamped violent swash when his auto wobbled through the waters but realised he couldn't push through the turbulence.

Village residers rushed to deliver the man who putatively could fluently drown. Fortunately, the townies helped him to reverse the auto to safety.
