According to Dr David Gikungu who is the Director of Meteorological Services in the country, the rest of the country is likely to be generally dry as certain areas expect to receive rainfall. This forecast is valid in the next five days till 28th of May 2022.
The regions that the Department Predicts to have a week of heavy Rainfall includes several parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin as well as the areas of Central and South Rift Valley.
On the same note, the Kenya Meteorological Department forecasts less amounts of rainfall over a few areas on the Highlands East of the Rift Valley which includes the county of Nairobi, the Coast and North-western Kenya, specifically on Turkana and Samburu County.
Bearing in mind that the month of May marks the last month in the March-April-May rainfall season in the country, it is more likely that the amount of rainfall towards the end of this month shall decrease to pave ways for harvesting of crops.
