Residents of Lurambi constituency in Kakamega county were on Friday,June 25 baffled after discovering a dead body of a missing woman inside her boyfriend’s house.
According to reports the woman lived in the rental house with her alleged lover who is reportedly an alcoholic and unknowingly stayed with the corpse.
The body of the departed Atieno was found by neighbours after a pungent smell from their house.
“We took action and went into his house and found that he was sick. As we tried to take him to the hospital, we found out that the woman was dead in his bedroom and the man wasn’t aware of what had happened,” an eye witness told NTV.
Confirming the incident, the area Nyumba kumi chairman attributed Atieno’s death to consumption of illicit brew.
The deceased’s body had already decomposed. I urge residents to avoid taking illicit brews as there are many licensed joints where they can buy alcohol,” he said.
