A 60-year-old school principal in Gachuba, Nyamira County, was brutally murdered by her husband after he allegedly caught them in bed together.
After allegedly catching Peter Nyakundi in his home with his wife Sarah, Robert Omwoyo allegedly hacked him to death early on Sunday morning.
After the 2:30 AM attack, Sarah allegedly ran away, while Omwoyo went to the Keroka Police Station.
"The victim lived in the Bonyunyu sub-location of Riabagaka. Gachuba and Keroka police officers responded and removed the body to the morgue at Gucha Hospital "Police report added.
The chief of police for Nyamira County has acknowledged the occurrence and said that an investigation has been launched.
The rising number of murders in the region was deeply troubling to him.
Instead of leading innocent men to their deaths, he said, married women should stay with their husbands.
Crime scene investigators and technicians processed and recorded the scene.
Thank you.
