For quite some time, lovers of liquor have been inconvenienced from partaking what they love most during their leisure time.
The inconvenience came in immediately after the COVID-19 pandemic hit Kenya forcing the government to lay down measures that would help curb the spread of the Corona virus.
Closure of bars and clubs was one of the measure that was put in place by the government. During the previous address by president President Elect Muigai Kenyatta, he totally prohibited the sale and consumption of alcohol within the five zoned counties.
Not even the sale of liquor by the Wines and Spirits joints was left. This made lovers the lovers of alcohol within the zoned areas with no option but finding alternatives which could beat the government's restrictions. Some opted to go drinking in the forests while others opted to drinking in their parked vehicles along the roads.
Now, it is a relief to those who had missed what they love for that period of time after the president revised the restrictions earlier today. Bars and clubs have been allowed to operate until 7PM every day. That is not withstanding any zone.
This means that people will be allowed to partake their liquor in bars and clubs until 7PM when they are expected to leave those places of happiness.
