Infrastructural development is president Kenyattas leading legacy as he seek to exit office this year. The construction work which has been ongoing to expand the Kenol to Marua road has been a debate after the road work took alot of time before completion. A phased visit by the president and the minister incharge of transportation has seen a gradual change with the road work nearing it's completion.
The contractor is now hopeful that the construction work will be completed before June. In some sections of the road where construction is complete. Road opening is currently being done. Heavy tractor machines are on these sites and are helping load the concrete road demarcation blocks into waiting trucks.
This stage is critical as it has caused heavy traffic in the busy highway and motorists are requested to be vigilant and also patient as the road opening will be a good thing which will give drivers the freedom to use the dual carriage and hence saving on time.
