Mutyambai Breaks His Silence, Reveals the Truth on Way Forward for Bars After Uhuru Lifted Curfew

Reports that have been doing rounds on social media for the better part of today's afternoon had it that the national police service under Hillary Mutyambai had issued a statement on the curfew announcement.

According to the fake reports, the national police service had allegedly said that Bars and Restaurants will not operate beyond 7pm until the head of state issues an order to the contrary. This had sent some revellers into a state of confusion.

However, Mutyambai's department has finally come out to break its silence on the reports and warned kenyans that the reports in question are fake and that the night to dawn curfew for the hospitality sector are lifted, as clarified earlier by Tourism CS Najib Balala.

"Our attention has been drawn to a fake tweet circulating attributed to the Police spokesperson commenting on the Presidential Order lifting COVID-19 curfew that has been in place. The tweet alleges the spokesperson clarified that the ban on bars remains in place..," part of the update reads.
