Kiambu Woman Fighting For Her Life in ICU After Accident in a Road Erected With Bumps Without Signs

Sharon Ruguru Macharia was driving along Red Hill Road in Kiambu County when she got involved in a life-changing accident. It is alleged that the contractor erected several bumps along the road with ought any signs to warn motorists.

Her sister, Nyokabi said that Sharon is currently admitted to Aga Khan Hospital with severe brain injuries that have affected specifically the frontal lobe (part of the brain that deals with emotions). She noted that the accident happened on Saturday, September 25.

Several motorists have complained about the erected bumps especially the ones that were placed on a slope. It is further reported that it is not the first time an accident has occurred in the area.

Sharon's family is currently overwhelmed with the bill charged at the hospital averaging Sh380,000 per day. This is despite the family issuing an insurance cover to the hospital.

The young woman was alone in the vehicle when the accident happened.
