Death is inevitable. Losing a loved one can be painful especially if it is the death of a close relative or a friend. Death celebrations brings mourners together to remember and honor the dead. This strengthens the families as it shows that they are not alone.
The nation has features a story of a family that exhumed the remains of the body of their father. Gideon Kihara Njuguna died and was buried 37 years ago in a manner that was unsatisfactory. The family then decided to move his remains from a humble grave to a more decent one.
After exhuming his body remains, the family placed them in a new casket. Later on, it was loaded in a hearse and a procession was followed. They paid their last respect and the body was laid to rest.
Having given their father a proper send off, the family says that they are now at peace.
