Boniface Mwangi, a popular human rights activist in Kenya, has today broken the news of the new appointment of Samir Yunus as the Officer Commanding Station(OCS) of Pangani police station.
An angry Boniface Mwangi, was shocked by this peace of news, questioning Fred Matiangi and the Inspector General of police in Kenya.
As we all know, Samir was initially arraigned in court for several complaints amongst inmates in stations in which he worked in. Moreover, in 2020, Boniface also highlighted the plee for justice by 20 female police officers who were allegedly assaulted by him in various stations Samir worked as an officer.
Its almost year now, and the female officers have not found justice while Samir is living out large. We as Kenyans expected IPOA to investigate this matter, Samir be relieved of his duties and a judgement given, but it never happened.
