National Land Commission (NLC) official Jennifer Wambua was found murdered and her body dumped at Kajiado County on March 12, 2021.
Investigation by police indicates that she was raped by the murders before her death.
The main suspect in the case, Paul Njenga was arrested by police last month at his home Embulbul in Ngong, Kajiado County.
DCI ditective who testified before the court remarked, " forensic results are finally out, positively matching the suspect. Detectives established that the suspect had indeed interacted and spent some good time with (her) at the location where the body was later discovered."
According to a report by Standard media, Kiambu court directed that Paul Njenga alias Ole Sankale to be subjected to a mental health assessment to check whether he is fit face trial.
In what happens to be a new twist on Jennifer's murder case, the DNA results indicate that Njenga was at the crime Scene during the murder of Jennifer.
Before her death, she had been advised by the pastor to pray at the renowned Ngong forest, as she was a key witness in a Sh122 million corruption case.
