The police officers in Embu county are investigating the two people alleged to have sold poisonous alcohol to the public.
This occurs after the brew was consumed by five persons who died and four others who lost their sight in the Karuku neighborhood of Mwea in the Mbeere South Subcounty.
Five suspects were detained last week after police demolished a processing facility in the Ndune neighborhood of Makima in the Mbeere South Sub-County.
However, the Embu County Commissioner Eddyson Nyale declared that the five had died from the brew and that inquiries were ongoing to determine the cause of death.
"When one consumes alcohol, crocodile meat and other products you cannot be sure what killed a victim, let's wait until investigations are complete," said Nyale.

Police conducted an operation were done and the two workers were then taken into custody. The primary suspect according to the police, managed to get away and is currently being sought.
