"My Son-in-law Stormed into My House at Night and Burnt All My Beddings and Clothes" Woman Cries Out

A woman identified as Mercyline has emotionally narrated how her son in law Amos Wanjala stormed into her house at night and burnt her bed, beddings and clothes.

Speaking to Standard digital, Mercyline said that her son-in-law destroyed property worth 6,000 Kenyan shillings. Before burning the items, he ordered her not to scream for help or alert the neighbours or else he would harm her.

Neighbours suspect that the man was bitter and wanted to revenge after his wife left him a few days ago under unclear circumstances.

The police in Kimimini, Transzoia county are still hunting for the man who went into hiding after commiting the crime.

The OCPD said that once he is arrested, he will be charged with the offense of malicious damage to property.

Elders say that the man commited a taboo in the Bukusu community and will be fined one goat before being allowed to interract with other members of the society.
