Father and his son reportedly died in a nasty road accident along Southern Bypass, Nairobi County.
Southern Bypass traffic police commander Justus Oracha confirmed the Monday evening accident saying the accident involved a lorry and car.
According to Justus, the victims were heading home from a stroll in Nairobi CBD when the accident happened.
Sources privy to the alleged incident revealed that the car was moving at a high speed along the busy road when the accident happened.
Nairobi Police Traffic boss Joshua Omukata told the press that only two died in the nasty road accident. One person lost succumbed at the scene while one person died while receiving treatment at Nairobi city hospital.
“Two people lost their liveso. Both vehicles were moving in one direction but the car lost control, collided with the lorry before it landed in a ditch,” Omukata said.
The Monday evening accident caused a large traffic snarl-up along the busy road.
The police boss termed the accident as horrific, adding that it occurred due to driver's negligence.
