County government of Kiambu must rethink how to undertake building and construction in their county. It is barely one month since another building collapsed in Kinoo while under construction. They should not allow such occurences to persist any longer.. Something has to give and fast. If negligence is established on the part of the regulating authorities, the contractors or any other interested parties, it is a criminal offence.
This is what corruption does to a society. The laws of physics do not obey corruption rules. You corrupt its pillars and it will come down.Someone approved the drawings for this building. The drawing bears a stamp of a professional. Let’s hold individuals accountable.
The construction industry in Kenya seems to have a lot of laws in Kenya on paper which builders are supposed to adhere to but very weak on inspection from relevant authorities. No way else to explain all these collapsing buildings?
