There was a deadly road accident along the Naivasha-Mai Mahiu highway where a man that was saved from an accident scene was run over by another vehicle as he lay down, waiting to be taken to the hospital.

The man lost his life on the spot as residents who had started crowding the scene near Maili Mbili along the busy highway ran to safety. The incident which happened on Wednesday 28th left many with grief.
Reports show that two trailers both going to Naivasha were engaged in an accident where the man had minor injuries on his legs. James Mburu, a witness, said that residents ran to the scene where they saved the two drivers from their vehicles.
As one of the victims was lying down by the roadside waiting to be taken to the hospital, another vehicle lost control and ran over him. He died on the spot.
Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru said the deceased's body has been taken to the nearby funeral home. He has since asked all road users to be keen and strictly follow traffic rules to avoid such incidences.
