Several roads have been opened up in Kisumu city including a dual carriageway to the central business district. Fly-overs have also been constructed in various points of the town including Nyamasaria, Kondele and Bandani areas to divert traffic from the town centre.
According to the report by County leaders, the business community and residents, the roads network has improved region's economic potential with several investors eyeing the region. More importantly accidents have been reduced by more than half.
In that light here are various benefits that Nakuru will enjoy after its elevation to city status.
Therefore two major interchanges have been constructed along Nairobi-Nakuru-Eldoret highway. The interchanges were constructed at the Nyahururu and Njoro turnoffs and have completely changed the face of the entry and exit points of the town.
The roads are expected to ease congestion in the the Central Business District and the Nakuru Eldoret highway, which has been a source of misery to those residing within the city.
