Drama As 30-Year-Old Is Accused Of Defiling And Impregnating His Biological Sister

Police are still investigating an incidence where a thirty year old man raped his blood sister and impregnated her. According to Ugandan Vision Newspaper, Deus Amanya, a resident of Muziza Central cell, Bugarama Ward in Bisheshe division Ibanda Municipality was, Wednesday remanded to Nyabuhikye Prison on charges of Rape and Incest which against the law.
According to the charges levied against him, he is accused of committing the offence on 24th December 2020 with a full knowledge that it was against the law. The court insisted that the offence cannot released by bail since it can only be determined by the high court.
According to the Ugandan law, rape is punishable by law and its sentence is death whereas incest sentence is life imprisonment. Cases of incest and rape in Uganda have been on the rise and police are warning those caught in the act will be dealt with without fear nor tolerance.
