Kenayans Warned as Heavy Rainfall is Expected in the Following Parts of the Country

Kenyans have been warned against very heavy downpour that is expected in the next five days from 27th May 2022. Report from Kenya Meteorological Department reveals that heavy downpour is likely to occur over several parts of the Highlands West Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and Central and South Rift Valley as well as over few places in the Highlands East Rift Valley, the Coastal parts of the country.

However the rest of the country is expected to be generally dry. Therefore those living in those areas (where heavy rainfall is expected) have been urged to prepare adequately.

According to the report shared, rains expected over few places in day one until the last day of the weather forecast, however several parts expected to receive sunny intervals during the morning hours. Showers and thunderstorms are expected over several parts of the mentioned parts of the country in the afternoon and evening hours.

The nights are expected to receive rains as well as cloudy conditions. Especially in Nairobi and the neighbouring counties.

Report from Met Department Warns those living in Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru and Tharaka Nithi as heavy rainfall is expected as from tomorrow until Monday next week.

Other places include, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Kericho, Nakuru, Bometi, Kisumu, Migori, Homabay and Nandi.

Finally, Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Isiolo and Garissa are expected to receive sunny intervals during morning and afternoon hours. However there is a likelihood of showers over few places.
