NPS, Bars And Night Clubs To Be Closed By 7Pm As It Had Been Directed Earlier On

Despite President Uhuru Kenyatta lifting dusk to dawn curfew countrywide which has been in place since March 2020, The Kenya National Police Service (NPS) has come out and announced to Kenyans that bars and entertainment places shall continue to close their businesses at 7pm. NPS through its post said that the clubs will be closed at 7pm as it had been directed by President Uhuru Kenyatta earlier on and who ever will be found operating past 7pm will be arrested for disobeying the orders.

"Following the vacation of the covid-19 associated curfew by H.E the President during Mashujaa day speech, existing measures on closure of bars by 7pm remain in place for now. Enforcement of violation of this measure to continue," read NPS twit that was posted at 7pm on Wednesday 20th October 2021. The president lifted dusk to dawn curfew countrywide after several Kenyans urged him to do so.
