Uhuru Gardens, commemorative national monument and museum located in the heart of the capital city of Kenya, Nairobi has been under renovation since 2020.
According to reports some important sections of Uhuru Gardens have already been completed however, the contractor is still doing final touches on the remaining parts of the multimillion Uhuru Gardens project.
Reports shows that the government allocated about KSh 15 billion to renovate Uhuru Gardens. As an important museum and center for holding public ceremonies, the renovation works include; the construction of Hall of Kenyan legends like Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and Nabongo Mumia etc, Tunnel of Martyrs and other conservative infrastructures.
