Two people have been seriously injured following a nasty accident that happened on Sunday evening near Majini bridge in Kitui County along the Mwingi-Thika Highway. The accident reportedly happened after the bus hit a truck hence injuring passengers on the left hand side leaving others totally shocked.
Several people who were on the left side of the bus suffered serious injuries while others survived with minor injuries. According to Musyi FM, the bus was heading to Nairobi from Garrisa when it was involved in the accident after reportedly hitting a truck.
Those who were injured have been rushed to Matuu Level 4 hospital where they are currently receiving treatment and responding well. According to an eye witness who was at the scene, he claims that the bus was ahead of them when they were on a roadblock only to see them being involved in an accident.
Those who have used the road frequently claim that two accidents have been reported at that road today. They have urgent the government to ensure that they mark the road with yellow line and ensure that they build bumps and install road signs. Additionally, drivers have been asked to drive carefully since most of these accidents are avoidable.
