The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has yet again been thrown into mourning after losing another member to road accident, a day after Wesley Kogo, Nandi Hills parliamentary aspirant, died also in an accident.
Nancy Wanjala Mwashumbe perished in a tragic road crash on the night of Thursday, April 7 near Voi at Ngutunyi, along the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway. She was on her way to her brother's funeral scheduled for Saturday, April 9.
Nancy, a teacher by profession, had tendered ger resignation as the deputy headmistress of the Coast Girls High School in Mombasa to contest for the Chaani Ward seat in Changamwe Constituency through the UDA party ticket.
Ms. Nancy's demise comes barely a day after Wesley's. Mr. Wesley died on Thursday (yesterday) through a road accident while on his way to an interview with a local radio station.
Before his demise, Wesley had expressed his interest to become the next Nandi Hills MP, in the forthcoming August 9, 2022 elections.
