The Challenging economic environment brought in by the pandemic became even worse due to strict rules which the government had imposed to protect it's citizens. Despite things going so well during the end of the first phase of the pandemic; which saw resumption of normal activities, the happiness didn't last long as the 2d and 3rd wave of the pandemic began.
With the strict rules in place including cessation of movement to 5 Counties, adjustments to the night to dawn curfew and limitations to social gatherings, life became even harder.
It was however a de- day for the anxious kenyans today following the president's speech during the Labour day celebrations at the state house. President Uhuru Kenyatta today during his state address to the nation: announced the lift of ban on cessation of movement in the 5 counties, reopening of schools as per the stipulated calendar and opening of places of worship among others.
Super excited kenyans have welcamed the long awaited news in style with majority taking to social media heaping praises to the head of state for his good leadership skills; others terming him as 'president fantastic'.
The excitement however, should not make them break the new Covid 19 regulations put in place, otherwise the joy and happiness will last short.
