Residents of Umoja estate have today been left with shock after a 29-year old man commits suicide leaving behind a distressing note to wife after the two had a small domestic disagreement.
Ealier on, the deceased had an argument with the wife who threatened to quite the marriage. The husband tried to beg her not to go but his efforts fell on deaf ears as the wife went to her parents house in Dandora.
The husband who was identified as Brayo was heartbroken and later in the night wrote a text message to his estranged wife informing her that he had left her the world. “I have left the world for you," the message read.
The wife got worried by her husband's message and tried to call him in a move to prevent him from commiting the heinous act only for her calls to go unanswered.
Overwhelmed by emotions, she returned to the hous the following morning accompanied by Brayo’s brother to check on him and got welcomed by his lifeless body lying on the bed.
A neighbor who requested her identity to be concealed said that the two have been having wrangles for a long time now. “Brayo and his wife have been fighting every now and then. But it never crossed our minds that he would take his life one day. He left behind a shocking note and that's when he committed suicide by drinking poison," said the neighbor.
The police from Umoja documented the scene and moved the body to Mama Lucy hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
