Police in Kisumu have today morning gunned down two suspected criminals suspected of terrorising residents.
According to the police some household goods believed to have been stolen were also recovered.
Other suspects escaped with gun wounds.
" Police officers from Nyamasaria patrol base received a communication from their command headquarters about a robbery at Ogango and a distress call had been made to the command center by a resident of the area," the statement said.
" The Thugs had machetes, iron bars, crowbars and other house breaking tools ," the police said.
Items recovered includes:TV set, 6Kg cooking gas, a grill and gas burner, a microwave, one woofer and four sound speakers, DVD player, electric iron, assorted beddings and clothing.
A heavy guage crowbar with a sharp edge was also recovered by the officers.
Kisumu police boss confirmed that the bodies of the suspects were taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu .
