Residents of Eldoret are now urging the county administration to reopen the markets that were shut down following yesterday's incident, in which a gang of enraged locals broke into a supermarket and stole items worth millions of dollars.
KTN TV is reporting that the county government of Uasin Gishu shut down all local businesses today in an effort to find the allegedly thieves who broke into the grocery store.
The county denounced the act and said that those responsible would be dealt with once the investigation was complete and they were brought to justice. The security details noted that the incident was so peculiar that it had been reported to the county.
Just one day after Two boys were caught stealing at Eldoret Daylight, and the DCI officers arrested 19 suspects yesterday. Now the residents of Eldoret want full justice done for them, as they want the government to tighten security as an increasing number of thefts have been occurring.
