The atmosphere at Port Victoria mortuary in Budalangi, Busia County was today full of unrest after a bereaved family forcefully invaded the premises to take away a body of their loved one who had been withheld by the hospital management for two months now. Well, the event was intrigued by a court decision after a land dispute about where the deceased would be laid to rest.
Well, it was a heated battle between the mortuary management and the family of the deceased who both strived to win the body to their side. However, the battle was all lost to the family after they unitedly passed the body over the gate and sped off immediately in a pick up.
As also reported by NTV, the bereaved family accused the hospital management of breaching their rights in withholding the body of their loved one. According to them, they had even cleared every pending bill to no avail. Eventually, the deceased was laid to rest on the same land that allegedly stirred the entire dispute.
