Police officers have reportedly gunned down one notorious thug and arrested several others moment after they attacked them. As reported by Directorate Of Criminal Investigation, there was a lorry transporting about 400bags of illegal sugar and it had been nabbed by traffic police officers. The lorry was detailed for some hours in Chwele police station Bungoma county. The case was to be conducted in Kisumu county and so they had to transport the lorry with its bags of sugar since it was the main evidence.It has been reported that unknown people attacked police officers and besieged them intending to steal the bags of sugar. There were commotions for some minutes and police officers started shooting randomly to scare these thugs. It has been reported that one thug was killed on the spot and several others were arrested. Police officers managed to transport the bags of sugar under tight security to Kisumu police station. These case will commence anytime soon.
