Nairobi: Man Steals Millions He Collected As Rent.

Nairobi is Kenyans number one city that is heavily populated with millions of people. This means rental business is of one of the most lucrative jobs due to it's high income generation nature.

A man entrusted as a manager to collect rent from tenants at a flat within Mlango Kubwa in Nairobi County has fascinated many people after he decided to pocket Ksh1.59 million.

After appearing before the Milimani Principal Magistrate Zainab Abdul, the accused who goes by the name Peter Gathungu Gikonyo denied charges leveled against him.

A lawyer defending Gikonyo pleaded with the court which granted him a cash bail. He was released on a Ksh1 million bond with a surety of a similar amount plus an option of Ksh700,000 as cash bail.

Such cases of people trusted to collect money for agencies and their landlords have been reported for quite sometime now. This calls for those responsible to know those they are dealing with to avoid such loses.
