Earlier, the relatives claimed to have spotted the 59-year-old identified as Mr Samuel Irungu, in a pub drinking with two young women on Wednesday night. Where he later bought takeaway beers and invited the women over to his house for an 'afterparty'.

It is then suspected that the women drugged him before robbing him of his possessions: an unknown amount of money and other properties, and took off unnoticed.

Mr Irungu's wife, Monica Wambui who was not home at the time the incident occured, said she was shocked when she learnt of her husband's death.

The relatives reported the matter to the Kiamaciri Police Station. The police are currently in pursuit of the two women to unfold what happened to the businessman. His body was taken to Kibugi Funeral Home for a postmortem examination.

This comes barely a day after a man from Bomet county was raped by a fellow man during a drinking spree.
