Shameful scene was witnessed from a little known Kianyaga estate, Mwea West constituency, Kirinyaga county in the former Central province when a man,32, identified as James Muchira was bursted by residents with the naked decomposing body of his mother in bedroom.
According to Mary Muthoni, a local or rather neighbour, the woman aged 71 went missing about one month ago and effort by kins to find her had not born any fruits. "The suspect is a drug addict who spend most of the time moving from one alcohol bar to another taking illegal brews." She stated.
Defending himself, the outspoken Muchira revealed he was conducting a special prayer for the mother to resurrect.
Confirming the incident, the area police boss disclosed the suspect was arrested by police officer who responded to a phone call from the chief and is locked in cell at Kianyaga police station waiting to be taken to court once the investigation is concluded.
