The untimely demise of the former senior Sports Officer Millicent Seda has left Kenyans into a shock and created a big vacuum in the sports management fraternity as she allegedly succumbed to COVID-19 related complications.
Millicent Seda's death has been publicly announced by the Kenyan celebrated sports commentator Carol Radul via her heavily followed and verified Facebook Page.
Millicent Seda was the Telkom Kenya team manager and played a critical role in nurturing talents by spearheading tournaments in the local villages in the aid to create a platform where young talented youths could showcase their skills in sports.
She will be remembered for successfully grooming many volleyball stars in the country including Ndasaba, Indakala, Barno, Amke, Lusanji among many other teams that have participated in both local and international tournaments.
"Former senior sports officer and Telkom Kenya team manager Millicent Seda has passed on as a result of COVID-19 complications. Millicent Seda nurtured many volleyball stars; Ndasaba, Indakala, Barno, Amke, Lusanji, among others. May her soul rest in peace" Carol Radull broke the sad news.
This comes as a blow in the sports fraternity especially the volleyball department where her interest was as she created space for the youths to showcase their skills and get a chance to be absorbed into the national teams.
