Many people will not believe that their is a country that has no prisoners. Unlike most prisons around the world that suffer from overcrowding, Netherlands got to the point where they had to import prisoners to occupy their empty prisons.
The crime rate in Netherlands dropped over the time. In 2013, only 19 people were in prison and in 2018 there was no prisoner. The rate of safety in the country is so high and crime has reduced.
According to reports, the Dutch Ministry of Justice had predicted a drop in crime back in 2016 and in 2018 the exact happened. There were no prisoners from Netherlands.
The country was forced to import prisoners from Norway in order to keep their prison running normally.
What do you think about this country? Should other countries copy the methods Netherlands used to manage the high numbers of crime? Comment below. Don't forget to share.
