Businessman Denies Damaging Property Worth Ksh 15000, Beating up a Tout

A businessman accused assault of and damaging of properties has denied the charges.

Isaac Njoroge Peter is accused of committing the offence on August 11 along Mpaka road in Westlands sub-county within Nairobi.

He also denied assaulting John Njoroge thereby causing him bodily harm before Kibera resident magistrate William Tulel

The complaint reported the matter to Parklands police station and later went to the hospital for treatment where a P3 form .

The magistrate released him on Sh100,000 with the same surety or cash bail of Ksh 20,000.

Tulel directed the case to be mentioned on September 23

"Incidents of phone thefts Cases have been on the rise on recent days especially within the Nairobi CBD.

Most thieves use motorcycles to snatch phones from unsuspecting thieves"

The directorate of criminal investigations has launched serious investigations into the matter, several suspects have been arrested and charged in court and others have pleaded guilty to the charges and jailed on the same.
