Cases of cheating in a relationship have been on a rise in the recent days. We are living in an era where spouses no longer trust each other and this has led to breakages of many marriages. Children are the obvious victims of such situations.
A case in Kirwa village, Kakamega county has left Kenyans amazed after a woman disappeared from her matrimonial home with a gardener. The mother of five has left her husband upset crying for help for the government to intervene.
The husband, Agrey Masinde, is a businessman whi operates a retail shop at Kirwa in Likuyani. Agrey has come out to expose how his spouse had lied to him that her aunt was ailing, and needed to visit her. The poor businessman never knew that his spouse was to use the opportunity to elope with their houseboy.
“Last week, she told me that her uncle’s wife was ailing, and wanted to visit her. I gave her money,” Masinde Revealed.
Masinde further reveals that he came to know the lies after he visited his wife's village home at Sirisia in Bungoma.
“She did not return home after days. I, thereafter, went to her parents’ home in Sirisia, Bungoma County, where I was told that she hadn’t arrived home."
“I had sold several chickens to raise her bus-fare, Ksh2,400. She also took my shop goods worth Ksh50,000 with her,” said Masinde.
“I am urging the government to help me get my wife and children back,” appealed the trader.
“Why would my wife leave me for a man who looks after cows? I am too embarrassed to even walk in the village because people are ridiculing me all the time.”
Masinde has gone ahead to report the matter to the gender office in the county of Kakamega in efforts to seek support. He has said that this is huge embarrassment and that he is even shy to walk around the village.
The case comes at a time when cases of spouses cheating with their employees has been at an escalating curve. The main affected gender being the men who have been frequently accused of cheating with the housemaids.
