A man identified as Boniface Mutua has been lynched bu Irate members of the public few hours after it was alleged that he hacked his wife to the death in Ndumbu village in Kisau location in Mbooni East Sub-county on Sunday morning.
According to reports Ruth Kavisi Mutua the deceased is said to have died because of excessive bleeding and deep cuts on the neck, legs and arms. Sources say that the two had a misunderstanding over land issues and that's why the husband sought to chop her.
Villagers were attracted by the noises made by the woman who respond immediately only to find the husband had vanished into the thin air.
The angry residents decided to conduct a search and combed for the man only to find him on a nearby village.Makueni County Police Commander Joseph Ole Naipeyan while speaking to KNA on the telephone said that the angry residents lynched and set ablaze the man.
