The news reaching our desk is that a notorious thief in Huruma Estate has been arrested after conducting a robbery yesterday. The thief is said to have attacked a pedestrian yesterday in Huruma and robbed off phone and money before the distress of the pedestrian caught the attention of police officers.
The Director of criminal investigation officers gave a chase before they caught up with Silvanus Ochieng who was also wanted for other crimes. He was arrested together with two other partners who have been mugging people in broad daylight without fear where some of the victims have ended up with knife stabs.
The man is reported to have bee using a knife to conduct his missions which have been successful most of the times. The suspect was easily indentified by the victim during a parading process at Huruma police station and will soon face charges of robbery with violence at the court of law.
