Nasty Accident on Mombasa Road

Accidents on the Kenyan highways have been on the rise in the recent past with the government unsure of what to do in order to mitigate this scourge that has bedeviled our roads for the past few months.

The National Transport and Safety Authority, NTSA, puts the figures of those that have lost their lives at a little over 1500 since the start of January.

The staggering statistics has put into perspective the recklessness and non compliance to traffic rules by most motorists.

This morning, according to reliable reports, there has been a nasty accident just past Mlolongo near Mombasa Cement where two trucks have collided on the busy highway.

The accident is causing a bit of a snarlup on the busy Mombasa Road this morning with motorists having to wait for several minutes before they can pass by the accident scene.

It's unclear as to what caused the accident that happened moments ago on the busy road leaving several people injured at the scene.

No fatalities have been reported from the accident that happened this morning on Mombasa Road as per the reports that we currently have.

Rescue has already arrived at the scene with police also arriving just now to ensure that the situation is cleared and normalcy is restored on the busy road this morning.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution and patience on this busy highway that has claimed many lives over the past few months.
