A 22-year-old woman is fighting for her life at a Nairobi hospital after she attempted kill herself by suicide.
Ann Wanjiku is said to have jumped from the sixth floor of a building where she lives with her sister.
Wanjiku went to the rooftop of the house in Parklands area on Thursday 2am and threw herself to the ground. She miraculously survived as she landed on parked vehicles.
Neigbours who heard the commotion rushed to the scene and found the victim unconscious. They rushed her to hospital where she is admitted in a critical condition.

Reports indicate that before Wanjiru attempted suicide, she sent a text message to her sister directing her where to find two suicide notes.
The two notes cited frustrations as the motive to attempt suicide. Police said one of the suicide notes was directed to her family and another to her employer.
Youths resort to suicidal behaviour as a means to externalise their problems, which is a reflection of increased risk associated with disorders such as depression and anxiety disorders.
