Deputy County commissioner Sylvester Munyasia found dead at his Pap Onditi home, Kisumu County.
The lifeless body of the deceased was discovered by his wife who raised alarm.
The incident in Nyakach Sub-County, left many villagers in shock as such a case has never been reported in the area from the time immemorial.
His cause of death still remains unknown.
Kisumu County police commissioner Josephine Ouko confirmed the incident.

Police officers who responded to the scene of crime documented their reports and transferred the body of the deceased to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue.
Police have launched investigations into the alleged incident.
This comes barely few weeks when a 34-year-old woman was also found dead in his house in the area.
