The recent accident occured yesterday, July 4, after a PSV is said to have rammed into a personal vehicle (Prado) at the Mlolongo exit. The accident left over 20 people injured and the Toll station severely damaged.
The accident was reported just a week after another accident which left one dead occured on the Expressway.
After the first accident, the government cautioned motorist to drive carefully along the road while issuing a list of fines to damages of the road's infrastructure.
What was spotted on the Expressway today
Police officers were today spotted along the road in a seemingly reinforcement move.
A section of Kenyans had request the government to install traffic police officers and alcoblow to test drivers at each entry point.
The Nairobi Expressway was intended to minimize traffic congestion in within the City, particularly along the busy Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
